Three Tries
At the fertilization stage, package prices primarily derive from the successful fertilization cycle. If this procedure fails on the first attempt, it must be repeated, which can occur multiple times. The standard "three tries" package includes three attempts at the in vitro fertilization cycle. If all three attempts fail, the intended parents will be responsible for covering the additional costs for any subsequent fertilization cycles.
Unlimited
On the other hand, an unlimited package requires a higher upfront payment, but it guarantees that the company will continue the procedure until successful fertilization is achieved, regardless of how many embryo transfers fail. In addition to other factors—such as the age of the egg donor and surrogate, the surrogate’s uterine receptivity, the physician’s expertise, embryo transfer timing, and even the room temperature during the transfer—luck also plays a role. Intended parents may choose the unlimited package out of concern for transfer failures but might achieve successful transfer on their very first attempt. Conversely, some parents may opt for a lower-priced package for financial reasons, only to end up paying more in the long run.

Finding the Right Egg Donor
Choosing a suitable egg donor can be complex and somewhat overwhelming for intended parents. They must determine what qualities they seek in a donor. Should the egg donor be a striking Cambridge graduate with multiple natural gifts and talents? While these factors are certainly worth considering, it’s essential to recognize that there is no guarantee that the child will inherit the intellectual, musical, or athletic traits of the donor. Just because an egg donor may not have attended college does not mean that a child conceived from that donor would not excel academically.
What truly matters is having a healthy baby whom the intended parents can love and nurture to become the best person they can be. Therefore, during the egg donation stage, it’s more crucial to consider whether the egg donor has successfully donated eggs in the past and whether that donation resulted in a successful live birth.
Donor Databases
When reviewing egg donor databases, we strongly advise intended parents to inquire whether the success rates for egg donors are measured in terms of live births rather than simply the ability to achieve pregnancy using donor eggs. The ultimate goal for intended parents is to have a live birth. Many IVF procedures may result in a pregnancy that only lasts a few weeks or months. Therefore, it's essential for intended parents to ask about the donor’s track record for live births and consider selecting a known donor with a successful history. Additionally, asking the right questions can help intended parents choose the ideal egg donor. We suggest considering the following questions when selecting an egg donor:

2. Does she have her own healthy children?
